Material Dialogues. Research project

This body of work explores the tension between organic growth and constructed form through the juxtaposition of natural and industrial materials. Marble, wood, metal, resin, and synthetic elements coexist in sculptural compositions that blur the boundaries between nature, design, and contemporary fabrication.

The pinecone-inspired sculpture transforms a familiar botanical form into a refined geometric volume. Its rhythmic surface pattern creates a play of light and shadow, evoking both natural growth structures and digitally generated geometries. Rendered in translucent and stone-like materials, the work suggests a dialogue between permanence and fragility.

In the assembled sculptures, found and crafted elements are brought together through acts of balance, compression, and containment. Marble blocks, wooden fragments, metal ribbons, elastic bands, and brightly colored spheres create unexpected relationships between weight and lightness, rigidity and elasticity, order and chance. These compositions reveal hidden tensions within everyday materials, transforming them into poetic arrangements that invite contemplation.

Collectively, the works investigate material memory, transformation, and the ways in which disparate elements can be unified into new visual and conceptual ecosystems.
